The Metrological Service of the Research Institute of Goznak founded in 2002 has all necessary resources for activity in the field of metrological support – highly qualified personnel, specialized premises, a modern reference basis, necessary regulatory and technical documents.
Since 2004 the Metrological Service has been accredited for the right to check the measuring devices as well as to carry out metrological expertise of documents and calibration of measuring methods.
Local measurement chains of unit size transfer from the national standards to the plant devices were developed by the specialists of Goznak. By now over 2 thousand units of control and measuring equipment have been checked and calibrated.
The Metrological Service develops methods of control, measuring and testing of the quality indexes of materials and products: optical, mechanical, physical properties as well as special parameters of security products.
The Metrological Service carries out round robin tests according to the requirements of international standards with the aim of detecting differences in the measurement results that can appear during day-to-day control of product quality. Round robin tests help to avoid differences between paper and printing factories in the matters of product quality assessment.
